How it all started…
Our Story
At Itty Witty, we are driven by family, motivated by fun and believe in celebrating the quirky things in life. We live for wit, grit and phrases that fit.
Hailing from the Lone Star State of Texas, Itty Witty’s founders, Shawn and Nicole Wegner, set out to create a toddler brand that challenges the typical norms and differentiates itself alongside most other mundane toddler apparel. With Itty Witty, we saw an opportunity to show personality, humor, and attitude in a clever and entertaining way, yet still appropriate enough for the whole family to enjoy. Having kids is tough enough, so why not have a bit of fun along the way.
So, the story goes – once upon a time, on a lonely Friday night in the Spring of 2020, confined at home and removed from general population like most quarantined Americans, we started rattling off amusingly clever phrases and before we knew it, we had a solid list of witty remarks that just worked. Further inspired by a few “adult beverages” and our son Holden’s budding personality, the Itty Witty nickname became a colloquial term amongst our amused selves. And given the fact that we are in the midst of a global pandemic, what else was there to do but to keep our vision and sanity (i.e., wit and humor) alive?
At Itty Witty, our mission is to challenge the cutesy kids apparel industry by providing clever, witty and well executed designs for clothing and various goods to the families that can handle the tongue-n-cheek personality it takes to wear our line.
While Itty Witty is in the beginning stages of its journey, much like our son, we are ready, more than ever, to make this experience fun and memorable and to share similar joys with other families as well.
And please know that we can’t even help ourselves and our childish immaturities; we were fortunately/unfortunately born this way. Sorry Mom!
